Team-BHP - Tactrix - OBD-II query

Hey Ya'll,

Does anyone know about MUT-II or MUT-III reader. I managed to get a Tactrix cable work in our Lancer... The Tactrix cable has pin 1 blank so I had to disengage the pin 14 (which is blank in our Indian Lancer) and connect it to pin 1 location. (Not ground yet)

Now after doing this the ECU is transmitting codes...but the readers which I am using is EVOSCAN. Evoscan claims to read the codes from an EVOIV ECU which is same as our Indian Lancer ECUs (...bloody restricted).

I can see the ECU entering Transmission mode but make the software read it...

Note;The tactrix cable also has a Flash port which is not applicable in my case. (Not sure about the new Cedia though!!)

Can someone please help?

OBD II uses 4 distinct Protocols to communicate with the outside device using a diagnostic port depending upon vehicle to vehicle they are mainly
1) SAE J1850 PWM
2) SAE J1850 VPW
3) ISO 9141-2
4) ISO 14230 (KWP2000)

Some latest cars post 2004 uses CAN (Controller Area Network) communication protocol, U need to find out what protocol is used by Mitsu in your current ECU & your scanner should support that or else get a scanner which supports all four protocols.

Bumping up this old thread. Get_hiyyer, any success in datalogging from the Lancer 4G15 ECU using EVOSCAN ?. I was in the lookout for an affordable option to datalog from the Lancer 4G15 ECU and display the data using a CarPC setup.
Couple of months back, I came across evoscan . After a bit of reading, assumed that the OpenPort 1.3D cable is the cable that we need to read from our Indian Lancer ECU. I had ordered one cable couple of months back but made a mistake in chosing a standard shipping without tracking option. The cable hasn't reached yet and I have no idea about its status.
Guys, has anybody been able to successfully read parameters from a 4G15 ECU?. I am particualrly looking for a cable-software combo and not a handheld tool. The generic OBDII tools like ScanGuage will not work with Mitsu ECU. If my pocket allows, I will order one more cable again- this time with tracking option, but then I am not sure if it is going to work with this ECU. Any pointers welcome.

Update: After long contemplation, once again ordered an OpenPort1.3D cable from EVOSCAN last week. Got the cable today via DHL Express courier. I dont have a laptop, so had to bring my PC near to the Car. Connected one end to the DLC, other end to the USB port of the PC. Started EVOSCAN and it could connect to the ECU in the first go clap:. Tried logging some parameters like rpm, Air temp, Throttle position, AFR, Coolant temp, Air flow etc and it works like a Charm. I am so happy.
Since I don't have a laptop, couldn't do much testing. A friend has agreed to lend his laptop for a week, so will update details in the OBDII thread once I get it.
