Could you please decode my fiesta VIN, the dealer told me that it is 9E and as per him it is a dec 2009 manufactured chaasis.

Yes the dealer given you the right information, if the 11th and 12th digits are 9 and E respectively then its a 2009 December manufactured Fiesta.

This is only applicable for the year 2009

^^ well you have given the partial VIN number only.
i.e from 11th to 17th digit. Any way it doesn't make any difference as i already told you its December 2009 manufactured fiesta. 44613 is the production serial number.

I have been provided this chassis No. for a Chevrolet Tavera (2006 Reg) by a customer. I think this chassis no. is bogus. Could you kindly confirm???

Hello wildon,

Firstly I must say, u are doing a great help to us.

I booked a Red Ritz ZXI 4-5 days ago after getting assurance that I would get the car in this December before prices rise in Jan. Same day he called and said he had allotted a Car for me and on asking Chasis No/Manufacturing date, told he will tell me when he gets the car. I told him I want a fresh car and wont accept a car which is lying in stockyard/with-dealer for long.

The dealer has called up today informing that car has arrived at his showroom. Upon asking about Manufacturing Date, he told me that it is a November Manufactured Car.
Considering that Ritz is a fast moving car, should I accept this 1 month old car ? Is it ok?
Or should I insist him to give me another December Manufactured one?

Please suggest.
If all paperwork/information is fine, I am planning to do an pre registration inspection of the car this weekend.

I can't tell you whether its a bogus VIN or not, but from the given VIN i can tell you its January 2006 manufactured vehicle.

If you asked for December manufactured car you should get M9 car. 1 month old car is as good as just manufactured car. so don't think too much on that.

Can you please decode my i10 VIN number - MALAM51CR9M XXXXXX *L (where 6 X's are the serial numbers).

From the replies in this thread I could understand that it is 2009 make but I want to know the month of manufacture.

Even refering VIN.pdf could not help me much. :(
