Where to check the VIN in ANHC, my dealer is confusing me that its tough to find the VIN, I guess it should be available with him as he is giving me chasis number and the date he received the car in stock.

^^ for easy finding of the VIN , the VIN number sticker is pasted on to the rear quarter of the ANHC.

I just noticed following VIN on one of my known person's Honda City, he wants to cross check, could you please decode it.

MKGM253L9005454

• Why this doesn't have 'N' for noida plant.
• is the '5' for manual transmission
• 'L' I guess is month but which I am not sure.
• '9' is this the year - 2009

The VIN you have provided is only have 15 nos so another 2 nos are missing.

The honda city vin will look like this

MAKGM253L9N005454, so you have missed those 2 letters which i marked in bold letters.

Its a November 2009 Make

Unfortunately i m unable to tell you the exact manufacturing date from the VIN, but the last two digit AA represents January 2010
