I think you are not read all the pages of this thread.Other than Hyundai i'm able to get the manufacturing date -month-year of SKODA and now VW.

Also i'm a beginner in the field of VIN ,so give me some time to get the info of others too

Regarding "unauthorised means" i already answered to you long time back in this same thread.

Regarding the other details you have asked, sorry i can't reveal the sources for good reasons.
No problem Wildon, thanks for the info. I thought both color and date also embedded in the VIN number, that is why wanted to find out how to decode.

Wildon, if you are using legal means to obtain such info, there is no problem. But remember, if you are using any illegal means to get info, there can be a legal action against you . In case you are posting messages using your office resources, even the organisation can get involved. All this effort of yours may prove to be a very costly affair!. I am only advicing you as a mate & good samaritan. BTW may be its not just your posts here which are being monitored. Somehow, I have a feeling that you are using unlawful means, hence this repeated posts on this topic. May be I am wrong... Guten tag!

The 10th digit of Chevrolet VIN represents Month and 11th Digit represents Year.

If 10th digit is D then its April

If 11th digit is A then its Year 2010

All month codes are giving below

A= JAN
B= FEB
C= MAR
D= APR
E= MAY
F= JUNE
G= JULY
H= AUG
J= SEP
K= OCT
L= NOV
M= DEC

I don't know the location of the VIN in the car, may be you can ask the spark owners here or else ask the executives at showroom.

Hi Wildon,
Can you please decode the following VIN info for me please? The local dealer in Chennai initially claimed that this car is BSIV compliant. Later when I asked for the VIN number, he said it is only EURO 3, which is almost equivalent to BSIV.

I need to know this before I consider booking on GP Emotion variant.

Thanks in advance for you help mate.

MCA118355XXXXXXXXBNZ
See how the dealer is trying to cheat the customer.

MCA = Fiat India
118355 = Euro 3 (BS III) Emotion Diesel
XXXXXXXX = Chassis Number
BNZ = February 2010 Manufactured.

Do not accept this vehicle if you are looking for a Euro 4 (BS IV) vehicle.

The BS IV VIN Code for GPEmotion Diesel starts with MCA11835E
