Same here, sir. Understood what you were trying to say. Just a thought-assuming the TT puts 250 at the wheels, (270+ at crank) could the reason for your findings also be due to the fact that the TT might be losing traction at higher revs in 1st & 2nd gears (due to wheelspin)? Shifting early would give better traction, right?

Assuming the TT drops 1200 RPM in each gear, upshifts at 5500 RPM would drop revs below peak torque for each shift, hence giving more traction...

@Shan2nu; Bingo...!!

You got it Dan. You and me. One on one. This Saturday afternoon. Call me and we'll fix up the time.

Obviously Dan, as I told you that day. It takes time for someone to get used to driving with the Cam. Absolutely no Torque below 2500K. You'll have to sit with me to feel the real thing.

It should be a little lesser that that. I think that wouldn't be bad, since the first three in my category in the last SR last were placed like this

ET RT Total
Hitesh Sharma (FRK Racing) Maruti Esteem 16.84 0.936 17.776
Imran Soudagar Honda City 17.491 0.638 18.129
Pratik Rajput Maruti Esteem 17.14 1.098 18.238

The first one was running a four carb setup while the other two were also heavily modded (shaved and ported heads, cams etc)

Just for Kicks, the only Ikon 1.6 that ran was in the Indian Open category with Ross pistons, High lift cam, NOS etc was placed like this

ET RT Total
Vinayak Purushothaman Ford Ikon 18.204 0.857 19.061
(He fordot to shoot NOS. Instead, he pressed the horn button )

And I was placed like this with just an automech free flow and K&N filter and plugs

Chetan Dani Opel Corsa 18.022 0.85 18.872

So lets meet on Saturday. You Ikon and my Corsa.
