One needs to look at two different aspects, if you have seniors in your family.
1. Ease of getting in and out for the seniors-depends on both the space available for entering (bigger cars are better) and the seat height relative to the road
2. If they have stiff knees, their legs need to stretch out at least a bit(they should be able to sit with the angle between their thigh and calf at more than 90 degrees)
Also, on highways, stop at least once every two hours, and let them walk about and stretch their legs.

Bumping into this old thread just to ask if somebody could list out the best options for a hatchback with high seating position in 2019? The most important concern here being - the ingress/egress for elderly folk.

Ignis/Wagon R does have higher seating compared to others in segment. THat said these are nothing like towering body on frame SUV's. If budget permits, you can check C-SUV's like Ecosport/Brezza etc.

We went ahead with Ignis AMT for Dad after reviewing multiple options. He was using Wagon R earlier.
