Guys, thanks to N_C, the pictures are here.

Gautam, can you post pictures of the Rider that I gave you? Wanted to show people how bad a replaced panel looks.

The panel in the Silver Skoda has been repaired and it looks brand new. You cannot make out the difference at all.

I'll post them as soon as I find the damn cable. Called up my office supplies guy and even he doesn't have the cable.

What is the alternative? I have seen every workshop use newspaper for masking.

Here at Hyundai Motor Plaza New Delhi they have brown paper & polysheet rolls.
Not many bodyshops follow that standard but i guess the Skoda should for its class and the premium they charge.

Looking good Oral F, should work out as good as new methinks. Plus, has considered replacing the same panel on my Santro once for a small tear but the Body Shop In-charge at the workshop (HMP) totally ruled that option out & needless to say the repair job was so good that nobody could make out anything had ever happened.

KP - You know better than anyone else that it's the company norms & ultimately the Body Shop contractor who decides on these small things.

Ishan
I agree that it partly depends upon the Bodyshop contractor.
But dont u think if HMP can set such norms then Skoda being a class apart from Hyundai should at least be on par with such kind of norms.
I have never been to a Skoda body shop here. The Galaxy Toyota on Mathura road does some horrible body shop work.

I dont think the dead axle has been replaced yet, hence the tyre looks outta place.

Why is the front bumper strip removed and not masked like the front door's side strip.
