went to get the sensor fixed. the service guy had the wrong wiring, so wouldn't fit. he then tried an old one that he'd replaced from other car previously. the light went off. i was real thrilled! but he said we gotta drive it around for a while...the light usually comes back on. we drove around for 15 mins...slow like. once he accelerated...the light came back on. man, i was disappointed!! the light won't go out.
have sent my original sensor to the spare parts guy as sample. waiting for him to get new one...and will try again.
keep ya'll posted.

The sensor might have been replaced because it was faulty as well.

I had this problem last week, with my OHC.. I cleaned up the O2 and then tried,same issue. Then I reset the ECM and voila! all codes gone and no more yellow light since then.

What i mean't is that the old o2 sensor your mechanic replaced from the other car may have been faulty as well.

My O2 sensor lasted 62k kms. I don't think there's a fixed life span for these sensors, they can go off at any moment (which explains why some had probs at 38k and you're still going strong at 69k).

@Shan2nu,

thanks! you are right buddy, Its been a lucky car for me than to previous M800.

I see that service stations have a tendency of fixing only the problem areas indicated and rarely check & predict what the life of others vital components of the car. Fortunately this is addressed by the huge knowledge base of Team-BHP.

hey i had the same problem with my OHC t2,that sensor is crap and needs to be replaced. The honda service center charges around 20k,but the same is available for 3k outside.I think its the sensor malfunctioning,so if u dont mind the light, u dont need to worry
