Did I Fry my Esteem Clutch??

Fight with them, it's under 5k kms, so you can still fight for defective clutch. Even though you ride your clutch.

Also, only clutch plate is not covered under warranty. All other components such as pressure plate, cable, thrust bearings are covered under warranty.

my esteem clutch plate got fried too but @ 60k kms, got new 1's couple of days back...
heres a pic of the old 1..
you need to fight fight with them maruti guys. i dint know that the clutch plate is not covered under warranty.. u should sue them too.. get some heavy punitive damages from them.

Gave the car to Bimal today. 2nd service + clutch issue.
Just got a call from them.they will be replacing the whole clutch assembly, under warranty

.they said there was some fault.

will get the details tommorow when i go to pick the car.

Congratulations!

If it was a new, badly-taught driver, it just might be possible it is their fault--- but you have the experience of making a clutch last a long time. It is jsut so unlikely to have been your driving causing the problem.

got the car yesterday evening.clutch feels good.
they have changed the clutch assembly & the cable.
