Screeching sound while steering

Hi, I have a NHC Vtec, its 1 1/2 years old..i just observed tht a slight screeching sound comes when i turn my steering wheel. when i checked, its not the sound around the wheels but some thing which i hear sitting inside..
looks like a side is kind of touching.. the sound is like two metals rubbing..

Please advice wht this might be.. and how i could rectify it..

check your engine belts if they are properly tightened.

I also sometimes hear a screeching sound from the steering wheel in my Wagon R...I guess it needs some lubrication

I got it checked and it was just a Lubrication issue.. now the steering is as smooth as before..
