Tyre Replacement & Wheel Balancing

Hello Guys,

I purchased used Santro, June 2001 make in August 2007.I got it serviced in Oct 2007.

Huyndai ASC informed that I need to replce tyres as past owner did not change right from 2001. H'ever he says tyres are in ok condition but tyre rubber has become hard. Huyndai ASC did not balance my wheels saying no point since tyres are to be repleced.

Can some one please suggest which tyres I shoud fit? How much would be cost? Also will the guy providing new tyres take old tyres and also do balancing of wheels?

Also at what cost? I stay in Mumbai (Mira Road) and would request a nearby tyre station for this.

Suggestions please.....thank you.

Post is in the wrong section.
6 years is an awfully long time to use tyres. Yes you'd better change them.
Choice of tyres depends on wether you want to upsize or stick to stock. Michelins are a favourite on the forum.
The shop supplying you with the new tyres might buy back your old ones or else check with the the local tyre wallah. Balancing charges will be extra.
