I have a Mar 07 Ford Ikon. whenever i drive the car with or without AC the front passenger seat floor mat gets wet underneath. i dont know from where is the water sipping in. first i thought maybe the AC water is leaking in. But when AC is off still it persists. I try showing my local mechanic but he is not able to find out. we removed the flooring under mat and saw but it is not at all wet there. it is like something is heating from down and vapourising. I am afraid that it may get rusted from down which i dont want. Has anybody faced this problem. please help me with some solution.

please help me out.i require ur help teambhpians.

Remove the tube that connects the ac coil drainage to outside the car, (its in between passenger and driver side floor board towards the firewall) clean the hole and get the carpets dried. You should be fine.

Once the carpets are wet it will take some time to dry off and hence you are getting the dampness inspite of running without AC.

Show it to Ford Dealer. My car had a problem of leaking at FR LH seat leg resting position. This was because of the hole the made by the ICE installer. Asked Ford dealer (Cauver Ford) to check them same and now the thing is arrested. Take the vehicle to an authorised dealer and your problem will be solved.

forgot to thank u all for the advice. the problem is solved.thanks jaggu i cleaned the AC Drainage tube and the problem is solved. Thanks once again.

Hello, despite the problem have being solved,I faced the same problem in my Ikon during the previous service,in october or september.

It was exactly in the FR LH seat leg place. I showed this to Ford, they said the drainage pipe must be blocked, and it shall be changed. But already by the time (2-3 months of this happening) we changed it, the carpet had an ugly looking patch due to the dampness, even if dry. Nuts at this pipe.
