Santro Xing Paint problem

I have a 3 yrs old (metallic silver) xing. I have noticed that in two small areas on the roof of the car, cracks are appearing in the paint.
I showed it at Hyundai workshop and the people there feel that probably there was a reaction between the paint and some bird's droppings.

Can this be the case? There are so many cars around and I have not noticed this problem with other cars.

Did u ever get your car's roof re-painted or is it the original paint?
Normally the original paint is not that susceptible to bird droppings.
