Car Accident Repair Cost

Hello Guys,

I recently scratched my santro on multiple parts of its body. The dents were very visible.

1. I hit a tree while taking reverse, result the rear glass was totaly broken with a reasonable dent to rear part of car. Garagwala informed 3.5K for repair including new rear glass. Is this alright or he charged me more?

2. While trying to save a woman, my dad hit the accelerator and clutch same time, although the speed was very very low, result the right headlight unit was broken with body parts around the healight unit got damaged. Garagewala informed 6K as repair cost (this includes, nwe headlight unit, repaid of dented/damaged body parts, new body coloured front bumper, and other minor repairs). Is this alright, or he charged me more?

In both the events, I was surpirsed by the fact that mechanics had removed dents completely. How they do that? One can not feel the dent at all. However the paint they applied was not upto the mark. One can see the difference in original paint and coloured part.

I wish to know I am can improve on looks fo car by re-paining the entire body a fresh with same gloss as that of a new car or atleast close to that...

Please advice.

i feel the cost is bit ok in your city. and also make sure that he replaced new bumpers and so, or did he repaired and painted the damaged one. the cost depends on the workmanship of the person. you can do that even less price. but the quality wont be good. anyone can point out that its repaint and dented body.

in your case, i think he didnt match the color exactly.. it may be because he is not specialist in painting. instead of giving your accident met car to mechanic. Try to find a accident repair specialist. Only they can give you exact finish. All used car dealers will leave their cars there for touch ups and makeups for minor or major dents. though they cost more. finishig would be nice.

instead of repainting your whole car, better take it to a good painter (specialist) he will match it...tinkering is not a tough job. they just use hammers to remove dent , in case it is major, they us gas flame to heat and then make it into original shape, then they use tinker paste (which is used to shape exactly) once it dried they polish or remove excess past by sand paper. just like plaster of paris for house walls.
