FFE including headers for the OHC VTEC should not cost more than 15k by any means unless you get yourself a set of GReddy headers or something.

sush you dint tell how long those welding stayed actually whatever repair work you do it might not stay for long...so at some point of time you might have to replace it

Well if the welding is not done properly it may just vaish off in 1 month or less. My other part which was welded 5 months ago is still going strong.
Yeah it's better to get replaced but not at the price of 22K (original )for a silencer

FFE is not an option because I am planning to put this car up for sale next week.

Actually, I wanted to sell it last year but couldn't bring myself to do it because I enjoy driving it so much. However I am losing more than 1 lakh per year (net) in tax savings because I am not buying a new car so I want to make sure I buy a new car before April 1 this year.

So, if this can't be repaired I will take it back to dealership tomorrow and get it fixed.

Couldn't go to RAC today because of Guests at home and massive work pressure at work. Will do that tomorrow and update.
