Premier Padmini S1 : Valves leaking. Suggestions needed urgently !!

Dear Team-bhp members,

Ive got a 1995 premier padmini S1, clocked 59K, had a bad oil consumption habit (1ltr/1K), My mechanic has opened the head & found that the valves are leaking. This means a head job, which means a once in a lifetime (i hope so) effort.
Would want suggestions/advice-
1) On polishing of valves.
2) Any methods to improve efficiency & power
3) Anything else that can be done.
All suggestions are welcome.
My considerations are good fuel efficiency & decent power, would be using it for A/c application too.

p.s.- Recommend some reasonable & good turners in south mumbai.

The S1 head is much improved and already at its limit of efficiency over the standard issue head. I doubt much can be gained without sacrificing street driveability. If you have access to high-octane fuel, you might consider shaving the head about 1 mm. Again, everything else has to be setup correctly for this to work.

You can look at products from Xado. They have treatment for various problems, but I dont remember if they have anything for the valves specifically.

Check out this thread for details.
