My cars battery is running fine & its been 30 months, I have ICE with amps & sub, twin horns, higher wattage bulbs. So far no issues but I am not sure how much long I will be lucky.

My father's Alto VXi's Battery lasted him exactly 5 years a few days, he didnt even switch off ac & ice(no amps\subs) while cranking & shutting the engine but the car is otherwise very well maintained.

My Lancer's OE Exide battery lasted 4.5 years w/o any issues ever :-) After that 1 cell out of 6 was gone (the battery had gone discharged as I was out of station for 4 weeks longer than planned). It may well have done a bit more, but I thought it prudent to replace it.

Regards,

I had no problems with my battery on the santro for 2 and a half years.The battery on my verna is good and running and its almost 1 and half years old.
But my friends battery on his accent CRDI went kaput 2 weeks back.His car was hardly 1 and half years old.It cost him around 6500 rs for the replacement.

Can I continue to use the existing battery or it's safer to replace the same, as I am planning for a long drive next month.
I continued using those batteries (gave me a tough time only once before 9 months) and now its almost 34 months and going strong - Car: Swift

I got my iKon in 2002 November and the battery died in 13 months. Replaced the OE Exide with another Exide in Dec 2003 and that one just died a few days back. A little more than 4 years.

Now looking for a replacement - in a dilemma after looking at the prices.

Exide = 7000

Any cheaper options ?

My new Zen battery went kaput just after 4 months. The dealer(Exide) charged me about 5oo Rs for changing it under warranty. That battery then lasted about 6 years. My friends battery in Scorpio has died today itself after about 2 years and 1 month.

The OE exide in my Scorpio lasted for 3 years & 2 months. That was more than what i expected with my usage & ICE. I switched over to Amaron Pro. Santro runs comfortably on 18th month with the OE Batt.

I voted for the 3 years and above option.

The OEM exide batter lasted for over 4 years in my esteem and the OEM exide in the M800 lasted over 3 years.

Replaced the batteries with Amaron.
