Looks like it to me.

From what i can see, carbon fibre hasn't been used IN the engine, but its been used for valve covers, intake-trumpets and even the fuel rail to the injectors it seems.
The advantage of the CF in these applications being weight saving.

Not only weight saving, with these engines running 18000+rpm just imagine the amount of fuel pressure inside these fuel rails, using CF it will help fuel run a lot cooler than a conventional type fuel rail.
