strange problem in my palio D

i recently encountered a strange problem in my palio D 2007 model.
this has happened twice now in the past 20 days, and i wonder whats it about.
when i start the car it starts without any problem but engine sounds very heavy, as if its under tremendous load. also the car doesnt revv in this situation even if i press the accelarator.
if i switch it off and start again, it starts normally.
anyone has any idea?
thanks in advance

model: palio D 1.9L, 2007 model.
kms done 17.5k.

no other problems till now.

Goto the authorized service station and get the fuel pump checked. If needed it might have to be calibrated. Even i have experienced the same problem in my 2003 palio 1.9D.

Yes that could be the problem. Or else any of the intake sensors got damaged. Service it asap

Even i had similar problem with my viva crdi a couple of months ago. When you press the accelarator it does not rev and the car kind of halts ( while in motion).

however, this could not be replicated when told to my service advisor, so just got normal service done and it has disappeared and never re-surfaced again. It certainly has to do with the fuel pump.
