Noise and vibration in Baleno engine

Hi,my Baleno is making some boom kind of sound and vibration at around 2200-2300 rpm. This sound starts at near 2000 RPM and peaks at 2500 RPM.It is similar to sound we get from worn-out wheel bearings at high speed. But it is coming even when it is raved standing still.I spent nearly 2 hours at Maruti Service Masters, but they couldn't sort it.Strangely,it has started after regular service at 50000 km,when they changed all filters and spark plugs, cleaned injecters and throttle body.

Did you check all the air filter hoses, are they fit properly? Any leakages at intake side? What about your water pump/fan belt? Is it tightened proper, read as NOT over tight.

Yes they checked, and found belts a bit tight and loosened these. But still no difference. While driving,it sounds like diesel jeep. You reach above 2000 rpm and start to sound boooom and as you lift off,it increases and gives vibrations.

Ok plug in the engine diagnostic thingie and see if anything is wrong. If ok move on and see if your engine firing is proper (plugs, plug wire, coil) and also the injectors (any lef over stuff after cleaning).

Looks like ignition problem.

OT:

Our family friends Baleno ( also bought with us in October in 2005 ) had this problem but was more pronounced at 2000 rpm. The fault they could find was ignition system. They replaced coil and plugs.

Its hard to give suggestions without seeing the car but Id get my exhaust system checked if I were you.
Check the following:
The exhaust manifold, the muffler itself and The catalytic converter.

They have one equipment that looks like a Gun. I forgot what is it really called. With this they can check wheather the sparks are proper or not. If the plugs are new then Ignition coil can be identified as improper.

I consulted a local mechanic today. He says I better ignore this sound,as it is from some internal bearings, and for which whole engine will have to be opened.
But I'm not ready to believe it,as it has started suddenly after sevice.

Going by symptoms i could only think as of now that it could be sound from the intake, since you have got it serviced recently & got filters changed including the intake filter, have them recheck the entire intake, filter box, intake pipe and the hoses associated with it.

I kinda agree and hence posted earlier, have you completely over ruled this?

If you can post a sound clip of the sound, we might be able to help further.

Checked the intake myself.Everything is fine.Interestingly,as I revved engine, standing in front of it,I couldn't notice this particular noise and vibration.
Will try to record this in morning.
