Maruti 800 5 speed aircon refrigerant

Hi all,

My AC mechanic found that the refrigerant level has reduced and inturn the AC effect has reduced too.

Now I need to refill the refrigerant, and I am not sure of the type R12/R134A used in the system.

The car is acutally a 2001/2002 800 MPFI 5 speed model.

As I lost the user manual, could anyone please enlighten me on the type of gas to be filled?

Filling R12 on a R134A system might not be an issue but viceversa, it will put too much load on the AC system and may cause AC failure.

Your inputs on this will be of great help to me.
