Scars On My Black Beauty!

Hello Friends,

I need your advice urgently on below, please help.

I own Santro 2001 model. I am second owner, bought in August 2007. In last one year, the car got scratched from Autowalla's and other small small vehicles. Since the colour of car is black, these scratches appears very shabby on car's body. I have insurance & checked with insurance guy (who also happens to be the Hyundai's Authorised Dealer/Service Centre), advised that during my complimentry service I should get "denting & panting done". He assured to include these in insurance claim itself, however if not possible, then he will get the same done at a discounted price. Also he assured that the denting & panding job would be just fine, and no one would even notice the work done, it will look like car was not scratched at all before! How true is this?

My question is, is it possible to include these small scratches in insurance clain, and do insurance providers allow this practise. Can one clain these small denting & penting jobs in insurance?

Also is it worth giving car for servicing to Hyundai Authorised Service Centre or Authorised Dealer? Will they be able to do the denting & panting job perfectly or else I should give it to some local mechanic.

If u guys advice for a local mechanic, does anyone have idea about a good mechanic in or around Mira Road or Borivali?

I would sincerely request for guidance on this from you guys. Please help! Thank You.

Yes " Denting and Painting " would do the job. However, if there are no dents to be taken care off, then go to local mechanic and ask him to just do a touchup job. It will be OK.

I am not very experienced in case of Insurance claims.

Hi Aaggoswami,

Many thanks for reply. Only one scratch has a dent as well, rest all are small or slightly big scratches. Yet car looks pretty good, however whenever I see these scratches I just feel the pain in my heart. I wanna have my car look like a real beauti, thus I dont mind spending a little extra on her.

Only one query, what would be cost for getting same done from a local mechanic? Please advice.
