can 32-bit ecu's be fitted in e-2 cars

guys,

as most euro-3 cars have no major changes to the engines, except for the ECU,can the new E-3 ecu's be fitted into the e-2 cars.
i.e. can the 32-bit ecm be fitted into existing e-2 cars.

if yes, what will be the difference in performance and other parameters.

cheers,
satya

the ecm cannot be fixed if there is any change in the wiring or the gen of the ecu is different.
hope that answers your question...

the ecm have different generations just like our cars. they are obd0, obd1,obd2...etc. so any changes made in hte ecm will make it a new gen like the case of cars.
the engine has been untouched but what about its running conditions ???
