Fiat Petra 1.6 ELX problem

Hi
This is to share some problem in my Fiat Petra 1.6 ELX (2006 model)
with an objective to get your esteemed opinion.
On last Tuesday, my car failed to move in 1st or any gear; there was
burning smell as well. As I had to go on Tour, somehow, I managed to
keep the car at safe place. My doubt is: Its clutch / plate has gone
(current KM reading: 20000
Now some History:
1. Within 6 months, clutch plate was replaced (Dec 2006), Gear box oil
seal was found damaged and led to clutch plate failure
2. Oil leakage from engine shaft, repaired
3. Battery went dead in one year, replaced on my own

I am an experienced driver (over 1 lakh KM), absolutely no clutch
riding; gear changes at appropriate speed (10, 20, 30, 45 & 60). I am
really surprised, how a new clutch can fail? Samyak Motor is 15 km
from my place, while Dynamic Motors is 1 KM, I would prefer to get the
work done at Dynamic. Where to get the work done, any experience,
please. Of course, Vivek auto is 20 KM. NCR members may suggest.
I am terrified, in the first week of Sept, I had planned to visit hill
stations, i shudder, if it would have failed there. My confidence has
shaken up.
Could Fiat India be of some help?
I am aware that all warantee is no more valid now, but as a goodwill gesture will they do something?

Regards

the first thing to do is show it to an A.S.C Then you could talk to mangesh and give him your history. Probably he would be able to help. Try to atleast get a cost sharing thing since this really seems to be a quality issue.

DOnt you have an extended warranty?

Thanks for your suggestions!
@gemithomas - when I bought the car, there was no scheme for any extended warentee, hence no such thing. I talked to Mangesh, he seemed supportive but non commital. He told me that he would take it up through tat-fiat alliance and then let me know. Another issue - I will have to take the car to Samyak - 15 KM from thr place where the car is. Crane service asked to pay Rs. 1700, that appears way too high. Howver, if I get it done in Noida, to me it would be free, around 1Km from my place, would be taken by the workshop (Dynamic Automobile, Sector 63, Noida). However, Mangesh suggested - Delhi/ Samyak would be better.
Can any body give me reference to some cheaper crane services.
@Kapilsharma80 - Never tried Aone motors, all services through Samyak except one by Dynamic, Noida.
Paying Rs. 1700/- for towing the car to workshop - would pinch me a lot.

Thanks again.

Why a freaking crane service boss?

Just find a good friend/relative with a jeep/such with a tow hook - pay someone 300-400 for the same. Ofc, i'm assuming they have a good rope.

I've always seen lots of cars in delhi being towed that ways. 1700 is alot. morning mein nikal jao le ke.

Can your car be towed in neutral? If so, you do not need the crane. Plus, the bumper (and possibly the radiator) can get damaged when lifted from the front by crane.

One year ago, Samyak charged my Rs. 250 for getting my Palio towed (by another car) from NOIDA to their facility.

As a general advice, I would recommend Samyak over Vivek.
