Need recommendation: Santro oils and additives in NCR

hi guys,
What is the better gear oil (is any additive needed?) for Santro gearbox. I learned to say no to engine oil change at A.S.S and instead am going to go for Magnatec (1000 rs for 3+0.5 litres. is the price OK at khan market?)

I also tried to look for OWS additives - 210 for flush and 360 - however no one in Khan market seemed to have them. Does anybody know where to source them in NCR and how much would they roughly cost?

Do I need one bottle of flush or 2?

thanks a lot guys

well I seriously doubt you would get good prices in Khan Market. I would prefer to put my money in Karol Bagh.

Why? How many kms has your car run? If it is a petrol, flushing should be done at 50K as petrol engines run clean.

gd1418- 85K. This is the first time I will use either STP or OWS flush before refilling engine oil. However, that is a nice point you bring up - I though I can.. or rather *should* use flush before filling engine oil. Do you mean, the next time I should not be using flush.

speedworks is official distributor of ows products in INDIA. you can also try ows 15 - 40w engine oil (fully synthetic) @ rs 1600 for 4 lts. it will pamper your engine.

you will need only one bottle of flush. 210 is for Rs 599 and is easily available in Chandigarh.

If you are residing somewhere in north delhi then "Singh petrol pump" opposite to State Bank Colony, runs a full oil and filter change workshop. However, he also stock various engine flushes and wipers. He also undertakes polishing and interior cleaning jobs, though i haven't tried them. Iceing of the cake is the labor charges are nil i.e 0 Rs.

Only glitch is being associated with IOC they ain't authorised to sell Castrol products.

Before the price hikes, I paid 950 bucks for a 4 litre can.
Today,1000 bucks for 3L can +0.5 litre pack sounds normal.
