Hello Mr. Vaasu,
Just sharing some of my views. Please correct me if I am wrong.
1. Firstly Magnatec is quite costly when compared to Mobil and Shell. The intelligent molecules used in Magnatec would be Zinc, Molybdenum, etc. These molecules are supposed to protect the engine by forming a cape around the moving parts and reducing friction. That might be true but till date we have no scientific claim backing the theory. It might just be another marketing stratagem.
2. Secondly, on the Castrol website I could not find an ACEA3/B3 or ACEA3/B4 rating on any of Magnatec's products.
3. Some research on Castrol reveals that sludge build-up is more in engines using GTX. This may or may not be true.
4. Many Castrol fakes are available in the market. Some months ago an authorized Castrol dealer was arrested in Uttar Pradesh or NCR region for selling fake engine oil.
5. Most Shell Mineral engine oils are rated ACEA3/B3 as well as API SN/CF, even though they are petrol-specific engine oils.
Even I myself use Castrol Gtx Diesel in my Dzire Tour at the Dealer MASS, here. But if you have better options like Mobil and Shell, go for them. |
