Was Just wondering who would win the On-Road Fuel Efficiency Test. Owners of Swift / Dzire Diesel, Palio Diesel and Vista Diesel please participate with F.E figures within city and Highways.

Owners/Non Owners Please do not post comments that could lead to unwanted debates. Just wanted to know where the F.E figures stand in the engine variations.

Mods: I know that there is a section for F.E but thought that this thread could make it easy for new buyers who would surely be thinking about F.E on the variations of this engine. Hope this would be allowed.

Swift D: Good roads, decent driving conditions and gear shifts at 2500 rpm

Without AC: 21
With AC: 19

As per ACI, DDiS has the best FE, the best 0-60/100kmph figures, and the best in-gear accel. Vista Quadrajet comes 2nd, and comes close in city FE etc. Palio MJD is last on all parameters since it uses an older 'tune' of the 1.3MJD engine than both Maruti and Tata :-(

Driving conditions: 40% B2B traffic with 70% AC ON. No Highways Yet

MJD SDX, again! Less than a week old, done around 400kms. FE at first refuel was 17.87 kmpl. Driving conditions 70% higway, 30% city and 95% AC on. Normal Diesel. Shifting @ 2k, sometimes upto 2.5k.

how can you compare the FE figures of VISTA right now,since it has been launched few days back,swift/MJD must have covered the run in period in most of the cases,but in vista we must wait for some T BHPIANS to give us accurate figures say after 1 month or so.

MJD SDX, Less than 5 months old, done around 9,640 kms.
city drive FE :20.8 Km/ltr with Ac on 60 % .(Tankful to Tankful)
Highway FE 22.6 Km/ltr with Ac on 80 % & speed 100-120kms/hr.(Tankful to Tankful)

Just curious.. which part of the city do you drive? Outer Ring Road?
