Engine Missing problem with Indica V2 LSi(Petrol)

Hi Folks,

My Indica is 3 years old and is giving a missing problem that is very irritating. It stutters at idling and also at 4th,5th gear and hence i am not sure what the problem is. I tried driving without AC/with AC/without stereo -all combinations. It stutters for sometime and when i throttle to high RPMs it gets corrected in a while and comes again sometime later.
Following things have been done till now:
1. All spark plug calbes(4 in number) have been changed as said by TACS
2. Throttle body has been cleaned
3. Stepper Motor (Actuator) has been changed
4. Cat Con from exhaust removed! (This is the max I could take :()

I am trying out these things now:
1. I have been parking my car in an up hill slope (My car park is like that)
- I am now parking on a level surface
2. I have been using the same Fuel station for 7 months now.
- I am thinking of changing the Fuel Station and see if there is any difference.

I am desperate for an answer guys. Any lead would be highly appreciated!

Primary suspect seems to be your ignition coil. I'd also check the filters (petrol + air) and spark plugs. Check if your injectors are clean too.

Check your car's distributor also. This is the place where current divided into 3 or four wires. It may be the case distributor hone faulty.

You make it sound like a bad thing .

Removing the Cat Con takes you one step closer to an FFE !

How much has the car run? If all 4 spark plugs AND HT cables have been changed, get the ignition coil checked. Specifically, the 4 leads that go into the coil(s). Continuous (everyday for say a month) driving on bad roads can sometimes work one of these leads loose. Also check that all spark plugs and HT cables are fastened securely.

Looking at the topic heading i thought - Wow. Park one night next day morning spoof no engine. But it still drives.

Fuel Starvation. This is an MPFi right? get the injectors cleaned first. One step at a time.

I know this thread is slightly old, but I would also take a look at the fuel pump wiring. I had a similar issue and it was traced back to the wiring after which the misfiring never occurred again.

I had the same issue on my Indica 2000 LEi. Cured by changing the HT wire combo as well as ignition coil replacement. Try the former first.

These are "High Tension" cables from the high voltage/tension ignition coil to the spark plug.

Or more commonly known as spark plug wire / coil to spark plug wire
