Should I go with the After market Ones or stick to OEM
If I were in your place, I would go for HASS in case car is in warranty else the aftermarket solution would do just fine, that is if the dealer is reliable and so are the parts.

Are the after market parts of the same company as those HASS uses? If you can get the part numbers try looking up online for the prices. If there is a huge price difference always make sure of the quality of aftermarket parts.

If you have not paid any advance amount to the service center, then go for the after market ones . Anyway the service center Will have one Or the other customers to whom they Will sell these parts.

No I have not paid any advance
I guess i will go for the aftermarket ones then.
One more Thing which i had placed an order for was the ABS sensor for the LH wheel (Forgot to mention that in my earlier posts). But that's not available as after market(according to the vendor). So will replace the sensor alone at HASS( comes around 4k ) and for the Balljoint and Tierod i will go for aftermarket, assuring its of good quality and get it done from any of the local Garage outside.

PS: Sagar,Can U recommend any Garages in BLR preferably in and around Koramangala where i can replace the same as the HASS guys are not going to touch the aftermarket ones.

Hi Lancer, I checked the PM but there's no detail of the dealer. All I have in PM is a message from Administrator saying I have been quoted.

That must be a big relief. Phew!

For rattles, first you have to identify the location, then get it confirmed with help of a local trusted mechanic, and finally get these removed by padding or insulation at a bigger trusted workshop.

Try to avoid HASS if you can.

1,25,000 Service

1,25,000 Service over. Odo is now at 1,25,700 kms.
Only labour, Rs.905 + taxes = Rs.1,017.

They check all the fluids, clean the brakes, do a thorough water-wash and check if every thing is working properly.
I am starting to think if this 'every-5K' service may be worth it?

Oh well, since I plan to hold the car for a very long time, I do not mind spending this extra to ensure longevity.

The rear-brake-pads has already done 60K and still may do 10K more.

Car is still silky smooth!

OT
Today's Hindu has a news item: Honda to hike car prices next month...The price hike comes at a time when HCIL is witnessing a decline in sales.

All the more reason to hold this car for another four or more years.

Awesome.

I went in yesterday for having brakes checked since I felt it was lacking bite.Service guy said Stock Brake pads are in fine condition and are good easily for 20K Kms.Got the disks skimmed (Now Braking is a lot better) and Battery changed to Amaron Pro (as a Precaution since Old Stock battery was getting weak) at service center itself.Next in line is tyre change (Will go for 205/65/15).Vehicle is 2010 AT and has done 59400 Kms.Car runs great as usual.

Don't wait for the tyre change. Do it now. That is the perfect size for the civic and you will feel you now have a new car, suspension, grip, etc. wise. Your FE will also improve.

Do you mean the front-pads or the rear-pads or both?

The front-pads lasting for 60K + 20K ?
