Well Michelins are generally considered to be better but in my experience either of Yokohama or Bridgestone if made in Japan turn out to be much better.



My personal ride runs on Yokohama AVS dB 550 tires (195 60R15) made in Japan. While the Michelins Primacy LC (as observed on a friend's car over several extended drives) are indeed quieter, for me it is the Yokohama that provides the overall balance of low noise, excellent grip and ruggedness on less than perfect interior roads in MH, DN, RJ, UK and HR and all kinds of weather conditions.

PS : dB refers to 'Decibles' which is the unit of measurement for sound/noise level/volume.

I preferred 205/65 for better GC and comfort. My chap recommended yoko over michelin, but I feel mostly a personal choice. I also felt db v 550 better than the S. I am very happy with my choice so far.

No real reason not to include MRF Mdsaab - just never thought of it

I have only used Michelin and Bridgestones in my cars.
Currently both my cars wear Michelin shoes!

I was always under the impression that Indian tyre manufacturers sell tyres that offer long life and good ride quality (what majority of customers in India really want) while foreign tyre manufacturers sell tyres that offer good grip and low noise levels.

That makes complete sense.
The ride quality on the Goodyear stocks that the Civic come with are not great at all.
The time to change them is arriving soon.
Possible look at MRF for the Civic then, what do you folks say?

please if you love driving and love your Chicca then dont go for MRF and JK these are the two most pathetic things to put on any car.
Manufacturers use them cause they are CHEAP.

if budget is a issue go for Bridgestone B250 or Potenza GIII
and if budget not an issue go for Michellin PLC or Yoko db series

But please dont for MRF they are bad than the stock NCT5 too. You can also go for NCT5 again those better than MRF and JK.

After using the Yokos on my civic (db) and another car (S drive), I would never go to Bridgestones 250 or another tire. Michelin perhaps other alternative.

ER300 are okayish if you can afford then go for Michellin PLC or Yoko DBseries

both are excellent tires in grip in wet and dry and noise levels are very low.

Mich and Yoko seem to have the soft sidewall phenemenon which i dread because our roads are very unforgiving and you know what state the city roads are in so not cosdiering those.Noise etc is not much issue for me but the GC and the durability is.
