Why do you want external mods? It's perfect as it is. You've got a spoiler and alloys.

Max add-in fogs if not there. Don't overdo and spoil the car.

BTW what kind of mods do you have in mind?

Seriously, don't do anything to it. Its the best as it is. See the pics of my honda. Its plain and simple in red and still turns heads everywhere.

Maybe max a freeflow exhaust and fogs in the front bumper if they are not present.

The 1.3 is an awesome engine. With 75mm x 76mm, its got a much better bore/stroke ratio than the "1.5/vtec".

Only prob is it's weight. For 90bhp, it weighs 975kgs (a good 100 kilos heavier than the 85bhp Esteem).

hey buddy,

very good buy indeed. It is a very good car and will serve your driving enthusiasm well and truly. A personal choice if i may have a say would be to keep it simple and straight on the outside (looks wise). It should be fun to drive and am sure your ride would grow on you with time.

congrats once again.

Hi, congrats for new purchase.

Don't worry about what other says.

I have also bought 1999 model Type 1 OHC, 1.5 AT. around a month back.

It was also in a very good condition, just 58000 km gone.

I have put the pics on the thread below. in the same section, Initial ownership & review. i bought it in 1.7 lacs.

Bought a "new" OHC, 1.5 AT, hardly used, fallen in love with her!

after a month or so, i am really enjoying the car, no problem at all, car is valvaty smooth on road, no noise, no rattles, & Automatic transmission is really a boon in the city.

What i feel that, Type-1 OHCs are the better than Type-2 OHCs, may be because they are of the first batches from Honda, may be of better quality!

any way, u have mad a wise decision, it is way better than those 5 yr old rattling zens & other hatches.

just enjoy with your OHC, like e, and I am sure, u will also fall in love with her just like me.

Dream on buddy!!! Type-2 rocks.
Quality may be same but definitely not better than type 2.

Other than that, welcome to the OHC club!

OHC is a rare commodity and to get a car like this which is well maintained is pretty nice. This is one car that aged gracefully.
