Pardon my saying so but this sounds like a typical A-One diagnosis. Please visit another workshop.

1600 is very nice; I personally shift closer to 3000 rpm but to each his own

1600 rpm is too low for the 3.0 DiCOR. Try and take it to 2000 rpm at least in each gear. The manual recommends ~2300 rpm for good acceleration.

Idle RPM for 3.0 dicor is 700 RPMs +/- 50

I usually shift at 2000 in normal circumstances which has been suggested by TASS and does well too.

1600 is LOW,how can you drive Safari so meekly?

have some fun and upshift at least after 2k,bro.

^ 2300 to 2500 rpm is good for decent driving without stressing the engine.
but for my fun driving i prefer 3000rpm and it sometimes even crosses it.

I always idle engine for atleast 3 mins before any movement & again idling for 1 min before ignition off.So i think that may not be the cause...

Go to a highway kind of stretch, take the beast to 5th gear
brake and downshift to 4th and press the pedal hard
and the same symptoms that you have mentioned earlier will be seen.
Ok
when i use "simply_sunny001" above trick symptoms comes back but it dissappears when i upshift near 2200 RPM normally ..

Rohit

i used to go to Nawab Motors in Noida who were still OK and respected all warranty issues as my safari was bought from them.

Now they have closed,so only Sterling/Dynamic are left and no good reviews exist for them.

i would suggest you to go to Autolinks in Gurgaon and leave early so that all clutch assembly replacement work can be completed in like 5 hrs.(Please PM suman for Autolinks)

And bro

i have told very clearly that your clutch is not gone fully and if you dont have Warranty left then let it go till it really starts troubling you.

and you seem to be a very sedate Safari driver so you might end up with the same clutch assembly for another year.

If situation worsenes, then get the Clutch assembly changed.
