First service at less than 1000 ?

Hi,
Not sure if this should go under any existing thread, but I have a Swift LDI, which is due by date for its first servicing this weekend, but I have done just 800 KM till now. Should I still go for the service, or request the service station to delay it by a week or so? I hope i don't void my warranty by delaying though. Note that In these 800 KM, I also drove from Lucknow to Noida.

Get it serviced. Will only do good for your car. Moreover since you have done a long distance journey.

hi, please get your car serviced as fast as possible . please do not run the engine on a long run without completing your service as the initial run in period has a lot of wear n tear of metal from the internals . These lie in the engine oil and damage the internals as it lubricates , so please try and speak to your service center and finish your service as fast as possible .

They will void your warranty if you miss their deadlines. Depends on the service center on how lenient they are, but they won't budge by much. I'd recommend getting it serviced ASAP than risking your warranty.

Oh well, you stay in Delhi/NCR, I volunteer taking your car around for another few thousand kilometers in few hours , as long as you foot the bill of fuel.

Shashank , I won't let you go away from your picaso , I'll help him.

On a serious note , the companies mention. 1 month/1000km or 1 year / 20000km or similar.

So its better to get it done according to the company recommendations.
