Are wheel Balancing Weights normal on a new showroom car?

This was something which striked me. I had never noticed it before. Last week I visited Automotive, Nerul with a friend for some enquires.

The Baleno in the showroom had weights attached to the rear wheels. Is this normal?

I thought new cars should be in mint condition. Is this a manufacturer problem or a dealer problem?

Yes it is. The wheels will have to be balanced whether they are new or not.

Yup they need to balanced in any case-
What happens is that harldy any wheel and tyre combination is ever balnced, so this needs to done to any new/old car or wheels.
Just think of it as a fine tuning after manufacture.
