Just my thoughts. Keyless entry makes things a lot easier.Of course,if the batteries of the keyless remote die, then what? I guess the keys should allow you to get in,right? Would that de-activate the alarm system?

Yes and No

Yes - It will let you IN.
No - It will just just over-ride the remote lock not the siren. Once you'll jump charge the battery, it will start sounding and you need to un-lock it through your remote.

If you unlock using the key, the alarm will go off. It is construed as a 'break-in'!
You'll need to silence the alarm from the control button inside the car by keying in the appropriate code.

where can i search this code?

my alto is fitted with keyless entry and i have no data about code.

A common problem! Makers seem to fail to supply the User Manual of the security system. Is it a Nippon in your car?

yes sir, it is nippon and fitted at maruti dealer in pune while i got delivery of car in sept 2006.

edit: they had provided me users manual.
