Chevrolet Optra - Tak Tak sound from rear left!!

It is very unsual sound which errupts on uneven road or even a immidiate small bump is crossed at a speed of mere 50-60km/hr. Looks like some nut got loosed from somewhere or like something is touching the underbody at the time of bump. The sound dosen't comes in a smooth road or small bumps on speed of 20-30Km/hr.

Shockers are changed recently say 2-3K Kms back only, so i suppose one can strike off bad shockers and mounting issue.

It get on nerves whenever car is on pott-holed roads !!

It was fixed by replacing link rod in rear suspension.

Ohh I just saw this thread and happily the problem has been solved. At times the rear mounting bush on the link rod is also a culprit. Best diagnosis is to either crwl under the car or get it raised up and visually check all bushes. A minor issue but very irritating none the less.

Indeed it was very irritating.. Specialy when one drives with no music & closed windows it's like someone banging over your head continuously.

I am facing the same problem for my Optra. Both front struts were replaced about 2K KM ago. Link rods seem a bit expensive :(

Get the shocker nuts checked which do no tighten up easily while refitting, they tend to be culprit one usually.
