Shan, I've seen a WagonR do a sub 15.5 sec 0-100kph run. Dead stock. 17 seems a bit high.
What did you use the measure it?

Timex IronMan Triathlon! Speedo read around 105 when I stopped the clock. I was riding shotgun. Only "mods" were 175 Goodyear Eagle NCTs.

Isn't that your regular wrist watch with an inbuilt stop watch?

It is my regular wristwatch. Not on my wrist. Dangles from my pocket, courtesy a K&N strap.

The speedo was the stock WagonR speedo. The tyres had the same OD, so the read wasn't compromised beyond regular speedo error.

I can figure a .5 to 1 sec gap, but 2 secs is improbable. Where did you get the 17.xx figure?

Riding shotgun basically means sitting in the front passenger seat. In the '20s, during Prohibition in America, bootleggers would smuggle liquour in trucks. One guy would drive and another would sit beside him, shotgun in hand, to "discourage" cops and other robbers.

Autocar figures are the last thing you should look at.

ANyway, this isn't a OD vs ACI discussion so, lets stick to the topic.

Sorry for digressing but using the same argument we cant believe anything that OD says..

Pulsar 150 0-60 6.3 sec
CBZ 7.9 sec .... a difference of 1.6 sec or almost 25 %

those were taken from the Jan 2002 issue

Now, if you look at the buyer's guide at the back of recent issues, the CBZ's time is given as 5.4 sec.

And ya, RX135 5 speed 0-60 is 6.9 sec ... slower than the P150 according to OD.

Just wanted know where you got the acceleration figures of the Alto and Wagon R.

See guys, believe what you want to. Bottom line is that even with the same engine, the Wagon R is slower than the Alto 1.1, it has to be. Physically, it can't possibly match the Alto's performance.
