Quite possible. My driver's have made this mistake a couple of times. They usually put in the battery from my other cars and start the engine and then reinstate the discharged one back in the car so that it can be charged.

That's exactly what I had done. Left the lights ON, so battery got discharged. Recharged the battery and its working fine now.

Its highly advisable to check the battery condition as its nearing 2year mark. i agree with bblost as well. I once had battery drain problem when my Esteem was idle for a week. The culprit was malfunctioned boot light and a weak battery.

Recently my Esteem had a major works done at Maruti dealer in Pondicherry. They deactivated/removed the fuse for my Piranha Dx Security system when they accused it for draining the battery. I still believe they screwed up with the wiring. I'm yet to find out the reason. What is it with the dealers hating 3rd party security systems
