I did it once without disconnecting the fuel pump. The compression numbers did not cross 100psi. I asked Sideways (Farhan) and he informed me that you need to turn the fuel pump off so that fuel is not injected into the cylinder.

If you remove the plugs and crank it with fuel pump on you will get petrol wash resulting in erroneous numbers for compression.

oops yea. good point. you do need to remove the fuel pump.
