Lancer condenser leak?

There is an small condenser (i suppose, not sure), behind the bumper on right side, its much smaller, but there is some leak it seems, in the thread area, where pipe and condenser are joined.

Is it serious problem? What is the use of that condenser?

I have noticed the leak, There was black oil like stuff there, so i spotted leak.

Small condenser? You're sure this is not the intercooler?

But the Lancer doesn't come with an intercooler, at least not in India, it must be the a/c condenser.

Is it a diesel Lancer? In that case it is the oil cooler.

Can't have black stuff in AC condenser/intercooler pipe leak. I think you're right, Sideways, it should be the oil cooler. Rajiv needs to confirm if it's a diesel car.Remote diagnostics isn't easy...

yes, its a diesel car (lancer), but i am not sure what it is, whether intercooler or oil cooler.

But am sure it is not AC condenser. its just an size of an average book. does this affect performance of car? or will it lead to any bigger problem?

You are loosing engine oil dear. That could lead to engine seizure in the worst case. Check your oil level dude in the morning.

Get the leak corrected pronto..

I am not losing oil much, its not dropping leak, its like leaking seal in the threaded pipe which connects to oil cooler. But i think i have to correct this leak soon, But Can i get the seals(packing) washer for it? once i remove the pipes, and if i could not source the packing, then it would be worse,. And . If available, what would be the average price?

It's been three months and you still running around with a leaking oil cooler ? It's bound to do more than some damage.

@ muneem

actually the leak is not by drop, there is not even a single drop below it. but its like air leak, i noticed accidentally when changing tyres. i wonder i can get spares for that, once i attempt to repair it, then i have to get spares immediately, else the leak cant be plugged once back with older spares.
