Well if you have gone through the earlier posts, you would have realised that the problem fundamentally is with the temperature of the intake air,so, probably the only thing that can make a difference will be a CAI. Removing the EGR will help because EGR essentially also cuts down on power, but, the issue being discussed will not be addressed.

use regular diesel with iftex system D

and a good engine oil like Mobil Delvac MX

I went to TASS last week , they said fuel pump needs to re-calibrated. I observed that temprature needle was slightly above half mark. A/C was on. I switched off the a/c still there was power loss. How to check whether EGR valve is working fine or not for my Indigo?

Hi Buddy,
I got hold of a less run Indigo bs2 from a friend. car is in great shape. Engine is as good as it can get. Good pickup , almost no vibrations in the cabin except the gear knob. very smooth and quite silent on highway. have got full service done with all lubes changed , all filters changed. Coolant drained , flushed and replaced with new. All brakes serviced and wheels are rotating free with new bearings.
Now problem is that when i am struck up B2B traffic on hot afternoons , the damn thing becomes something else. Becomes very sluggish , vibrates noticeably , sounds rough and noise levels are higher too.This happens on AC or otherwise.
You reckon a weakened EGR valve is the culprit ?
On cooler days / when its raining or at mornings / nights this does not occur.

I hope so. I got the car checked at Fortune , Powai. The EGR was functioning alright.
Is it so that the particular time when he checked it the car was behaving normally. Had taken a half an hour stop at Military road. So the car just didnt have time to heat up. Also traffic was fast moving.
My question is ' IS the EGR VALVE solenoid fails when its hot and the slightly weakened EGR valve is functioning almost alright under rest of the conditions ? So it malfunctions only when its really hot and its B2B TRAFFIC and the at other times car behaves ...well normally.
I mean the car is in absolutely prime condition.
