I changed my tyres just a month back. Got the Potenza g2 or 3 not sure the unidirectional threaded tyre

And thanks for informing me the price of the brake. I will try reaching another service center and find out the pricing and stuff...

Does the back brakes also need a change ????

Advisable to change the rear brake liners also. Should not cost much.

Does Baleno brakes bite less than that of Swift? My car atleast feels so and so I was thinking that probably it's like this for a Baleno. I always feel that the bite is less in my car specially while driving fast and there is need for sudden braking. But it does slow down although confident level is not that high during those moments.
Another thing I felt that the braking efficiency actually decreased after the change of tires from the stock ones (currently using yokohama S-drives). But this may be just in mind as I was expecting better braking performance after the change.
BTW, the price of the front brake pads were around 1249 Rs with labor charges along with a door clip.

Readily available in bangalore. Its not a slow moving item so they should have it in stock.

Kaushik:The bite or sharpness of brake is more in a swift. Must be the booster design. If the bite has gone down, time to look at your pads.

Pads are very new, probably now it's only 5k old. I'm kind of suspecting the boosters for this. BTW, I'm having another problem with the brakes, have a look at this thread guys, http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...low-speed.html

Changed the front break pads from mandovi bangalore, it came around Rs 2700 , it is an SGP item. They told that theu don't have an MGP part for baleno. The package date for the item showed Jan 2009.

Hi Guys.

My baleno,s front brake pads have worn out and need to be changed. I had been to a Maruti Service Centre yesterday and they said the charges for the Baleno brake pads are 2700 for the SGP. I asked them if they have any MGP available the answer was negative. I read this thread before and many confirming the price to be around 1300bucks I did not change the pads. Can anyone from Mumbai please confirm the prices for the Baleno brakes and also where can I procure them.

Are there any aftermarket brake pads which would also improve the brake bite would be welcome too.

Regards,
Kailash
