which car honda city (old) or lancer is mod friendly???

Hey guys....
I am planning to buy a 2nd hand car,as my vehicle just got stolen.
The budget is 2.5 lacs....dad's not allowing more...

A question for experts....

Which car do you guys think out of the 2 (Honda city 1.5 vtec && lancer) should I buy?? I want to get the car fully modified in the future. i.e (5-6months from now).

which car would be the more mod friendly..am thinking of getting turbochargers, headers, coilovers and stuff like that.

a little help would be appriciated.
hope to hear from someone .....sooooon.

The question you should be asking is, 'who' would you want to get these done from ?
Do you have reliable Tuners in delhi who would be able to do a turbo job ? Most would claim to do a lot but would end up doing R & D on your expense.

Or are you planning to get it done from one of the Professional tuning houses down south ?
I would suggest you read up. You'll find a lot of threads full of owners choices (regd cars, mods, money involved and tuners). You'll get all your answers in the forum itself. You'll get to know of the sweet and bitter experiences that go with modding cars.

For mild mods, CAI + FFE either of the cars would be suitable. But then the lancer doesn't have that much juice in it even in stock form. If you'r going to go the MIVEC way, then you will have to go way beyond your budget.

Buy an Esteem, Zen, or Swift. Easiest to mod, cheapest parts, cheapest spares.

I agree with v1p3r as modding is not going to be easy on the pocket so you need deep pockets after you are done buying it. The cost post buying totally depends upon how far you take your mods and which niche you want to use the car for post modding; and the esteem having the cheapest spares and being mod-friendly should be a good choice. For how to start and what would be the approximate cost the thread below should help.

So do your homework before you take the plunge
