Is it good to paint cabin floor and under body of M800 (18 yrs old) to prevent corrosion? As I plan to do the floor painting myself using silver paint and brush, should I use automobile primer first?
I think it wont be wise to give it for patch & painting work which will cost around 15K.

Well you should go in for rubber based paint it lasts really long .On my 800 it is there from last 5+ years and got done in just 1000 Rs for the wheel wells and the undercarriage. But please do not get it done near silencer/exhaust. Also this way it will be water proof and does noise insulation also.

hello there Vin. painting the platform of the car is good as long as you get the floor cleaned and there are no rust spots. i hope you dont have huge rust spots cus then its better you get them patched. and priming the floor will not help much unless you expose the metal and prime the metal and bulid on that by giving it a paintjob. for the underbody a good wash untill its squeky clean and just apply paint. use a brush cus the coats will be thicker then.
have fun.
