What is the weight difference between an 800 a Zen and an Esteem?

Google says the 800 is 650 kgs, Zen is 765 kgs & Esteem is 870 kgs. So I guess you will be saving about 200 kgs. Not bad!

Porche is a rear engined car , the engine weight is behind the rear axle, this one will be come a mid engined car as the engine [if done] will be before the rear axle.

More ideas on modding the 800.
-It will need a wider track front ans rear to stabilize it for that kind of power and high speeds and to accommodate the drive shafts.
-will to find electronic power steering.
-Discs all around, [have been working on something].
-Roll cage and body strengthening [by welding] and adding some more martial to make the front end stiff.
More later.

shall drop in sometime later in the week. do you have an old bike we can fit the 800 engine into ? on a serious note , we can just sell it and buy parts for the e-800 project !

about the booster and brakes , we can use the ones from the esteem if its a junker or we can buy them. lets make it run first and then make it run fast and then make it stop fast

The current owner (scrap dealer) may come on board with us. In that case we'll get whatever is salvagable from the Esteem for free.

Nice project man.
One of my friend installed a M1000 engine in the M800 5 yrs ago. Got cams from Raj and the car was a torque bomb. The G13B should easily fit with ofcourse a few bedding changes.

All the best!

M1000 had the Zen's engine which was nothing but another generation of Suzuki Alto. So fitting that engine into Alto, M800 should not be a big problem.

M1000 and the original Gypsy had the same engine with a Cast Iron block. The Zen engine was an all aluminium alloy unit. The M1000, Zen and Esteem had identical mounting points. The Alto & 800 should have the same mounting points. I'll need to modify the mounting points to put the esteem engine into the 800.

Yes The construction was different but they were essentially same/similar engines.

That means the mounting points will be the same too. So I can follow the same procedure as the M1000 mod for my project.

Yup, which is why I mentioned about my friend's conversion. Its not too radical to mount the G13B.
Hope your confidence boots by now

Pedro,
Are the length of both the engines the same? If not, you will have to move the transaxle and also rework the axles to the wheels.
