Hi
For last 24 hrs , I have noticed that my car starts moving to the left when I take my hands off the steering.

Do I need Wheel Alignment ?

Till 2 days back this problem was not there. I had to start my car once by desi method of push by three people with neutral gear and suddenly moving to 2nd gear (because battery was down).

Could this be reason for current veering towards left ?

Thanks for help

Yes, its most probably the Wheel Alignment.
Get it done before there is uneven wear on the tyres.
That should basically solve your Going Left problem.

Most basic reason can be too much difference in tire pressure.

Hi

I have got wheel alignment done (after ensuring proper tyre pressure) but still the problem exits. I opted for road side machine to save money (Rs. 350 vs. 600 estimate given by PASCO maruti dealer) . They changed front tyres but still no improvement

Surprisingly the shop did not have specification in their alignment machine for Grand Vitara 2007 model. They used specification for 1.6 ltr suzuki model 1987-93.

It looks maintaining this car will be tough going forward.

Why don't you take the car to a reputed dealer and get the wheels aligned? From what you have stated, it is evident that this is a case of a problem with the alignment. The guy who aligned your wheels not havin the setting for the GV and using an older setting could have made matters worse. Just make sure you get it checked at another wheel alignment dealer.

Please get the vehicle aligned using proper setting.

btw also check the road. I have myself also seen that problem and realised that the road is angled to the left to avoid water clogging. The roads are made at steep angles at some places. :(

If you have got it aligned using older car's settings that is the reason,go to some reputed tire shop they might have the settings for new GV.
