Re: Battery Not charging light on - Alternator giving 14+ !! What is it ?

Sorry to revive this old thread.
In My S10,injector light glows for a couple of seconds and disappears. While the light glows,There is a loss of power and once the light disappears,All is well.
This happened 3-4times within 10mts drive. The problem was not there when i drove back home from my office the same day.
Just wanted to double check,I did a ECU scan(Courtesy: Thyagarajan and Vijaycool) and there was some ignition coil error. We cleared the error and the problem did not reappear.

In the meanwhile,We found that the alternator voltage with full load i.e AC,headlights and fog lights drops to 12.5V. without any load, its around 14V.
As of now there is no visible problem in the car apart from the fact, that my car starts only in second crank every morning irresspective of whether if its used daily or started after a week.

Is 12.5V normal with full load? or should i check the alternator?
