Usually clutch job involves, pressure plate, clutch plate and release bearing. Some will have carbon separate but nowadays it all comes as a single unit.

So yes the clutch job would have included the bearing.

Main thing being if you are opening, do a clean job and replace all parts. Dont do 2k savings now to land up with another 3k bill few months down the line, since these parts are not regular replacement/service ones.

Hmmm.. sounds good.

But just one thing bothers me. There was no clutch slippage at all prior to this. 2000 rpm with AC = 85km/h since the beginning. But if competent says its worn out, I might replace it. I would have to trust them on this no ?

Axle leakage is leakage of the gear oil from the gear box due to a failure of the oil seal at the end of the axles (drive shafts), which connect the gearbox to the wheels. No big issue.

The clutch bearing will be covered. The pressure plates and clutch plates won't be.

The gear cable is a grey area yet, will be known tomorrow morning. Gut feel is that it will not be covered.

Looking at 8-9k of expenses. This shakes the entire budget of the month ! :(

Hey what about flywheel ? Changing that or no ?

And the gear linkages along with the shifter assembly ( comes together as one i guess ) is around 2 grand, someone has mentioned it in one of the threads and comes under warranty.

Don't think they mentioned the flywheel.

Update:

Just went to collect my car but noticed it juddered from pick up in the first gear. They acknowledged the problem and have kept the car back for a second round of observation.

What could this be ?

Flywheel ?

Flywheel ?
Flywheel imbalance or improperly fitted/worn out engine/gearbox mountings. May just involve changing one (or all) of the engine/g-b mountings.
