indigo LS front shock absorbers

Tried searching for front shock absorbers for my oct 2005 model indigo LS which has done 83000 kms.
  1. Where can i buy good shock absorbers in Delhi? i am in East Delhi, but i don't mind going anywhere for them.
  2. Should i stick to tata authorized shocks or get something else? my purpose is to travel 100 km a day(self driven @ city speeds) in decent comfort.
  3. Does replacing front shocks require any kind of specialized training only available at TASCs. the guy at Him motors say , will take 8 K all inclusive for front shocks, which i am sure is a rip off.
  4. Now that my car's extended warranty is going to lapse, can one of you please suggest to me a good mechanic in Mayur vihar, noida, or any part of east delhi, i am done getting fleeced .
thanks much .

Shocks from Gabriel or Monroe are good. Monroe is OE for Indica, so must be for Indigo too.

I got Monroe front shocks for my Indica for 1900 each (Gabriel was 2500) and 200 for fitting. No special expertise is required, just need to get wheels aligned after the job.

Plenty of places in Delhi for shock absorbers - just check that you get the warranty card and bill when buying.

TASCs and all authorized service centres are rip-offs compared to standalone garages.

You might want to try out this: Carnation at Noida. Heard good things about it.
