Indica V2 refinement history

Anybody knows what Tata did for Indica V2 during 2002 and 2004 refinements?

Are the engines are same for Indica V2 2002 DLS and Indica DLS V2 2006?

Regards,

Krish

When Indica was launched it had major reliability issues.Though issue were sorted over the time slowly but the model to get major updates was called V2.

V2 was launched in 2001(not sure), Second updated version of v2 was launched in July 2002 (i bought it), the major revisions were better AC and better sound damping. This version can be identified from the previous version by a plastic cover in the footwell. Airconditioning on variants before this were particularly weak.

Indica a facelift in the year 2004, this version now had side claddings but still continued the same underpowered 53.5hp diesel engine though it was more refined than before. The engine later got electronic fuel pump to meet emission norms.

A turbocharged variant was launched later with a turbocharged and intercooled variant of the same engine. This version was quite peppy to drive but had turbo lag. This version did 0-100 in 15.xx secs compared to previous naturally aspirated version's 22.xx secs.

Are the engines same for Indica v2 2002 and v2 2006?
Yes, the naturally aspirated diesel engine is same with minor modifications in fuel pump to meet emission norms.
